Spain: Yaya Touré, future coach of Barça?
Former Ivorian international Yaya Touré has expressed his desire to coach FC Barcelona. The quadruple African Golden Ball (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) made it known in an interview with Cadena SER.
“ I am in the process of completing my coaching license. For me, Barcelona are the team where I want to end up. I don’t know if it’s at Barça B, at the Juvenil (U19) but I want to work in Barcelona. I would love to work at La Masia. I still have a home in Barcelona, ”says the former Manchester City player.
Yaya Touré is finishing his coaching diplomas. He has been assistant coach of Olimpik Donetsk (Ukraine) since February.
The Ivorian wore the colors of Barça from 2007 to 2010. He achieved the sextuplet: Champions League, Spanish championship, Spanish Cup, Club World Cup, Spanish Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup . He finally left the club after bickering with Pep Guardiola. “ I know that in Barcelona they like me a lot. It was a very difficult decision for me. I had it all: football, life, the weather. I had the best by my side with Xavi, Iniesta… That’s why I always want to finish in Barcelona, ”he concludes
