President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday, 2nd April 2023 allegedly met and came up with a working format. The meeting allegedly took place due to the ongoing Azimio nationwide demonstrations that had crippled the country’s economy.

According to sources, both leaders discussed on how they can meet in the middle as both party’s had their own demands.

According to CAS Dennis Itumbi, the meeting ruled out the possibility of a handshake between the two politicians.

Itumbi further claimed that Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua was present in the entire meeting and he also contributed to the decision agreed on as well as writing the final statement.

According to Itumbi, there were seven more people present in the meeting but he did not reveal their identity. The CAS revealed that Raila Odinga will soon take up the opposition office formally ending the ongoing speculation of a possible handshake between Ruto and Railanicet R
