𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚:Da Agent recognised as fastest rapper in East Africa

KAMPALA — Ugandan rapper Ivan Wabwire, popularly known as Da Agent, has been recognised by Bossip Africa as the fastest rapper in East Africa following an assessment of his rapid-fire delivery.
The recognition is based on a passage from his 2024 song “Tewepima Nange”, in which Da Agent delivered 33 syllables in 3.75 seconds.
According to a certificate issued by the Bossip Africa Record Registry on September 19, the performance translates to a measured rate of 8.5 syllables per second.
The certificate identifies the feat as “Fastest Rapper in East Africa” and records Kampala, Uganda, as the location of the performance.

The measurement was conducted by Derrick Ssentamu and is described on the certificate as an independent measurement.
The method involved timing the passage with a stopwatch while playing the recording at reduced speed to facilitate syllable counting.
  • The assessment also states that both Luganda and English pronunciation were considered in determining the syllable count.
The recognition comes from a performance recorded in 2024, but the formal certification was issued this year under record number BA-RR-2026-001.
Bossip Africa editor-in-chief Nathan Atiluk signed the certificate recognising Da Agent for the feat.
The rapper has been known for his fast-paced delivery, and the measurement gives a numerical basis to one of the defining characteristics of his rap style.
The recognition adds to Da Agent’s profile in Uganda’s hip-hop scene, where artists have increasingly experimented with rapid flows and multilingual lyricism.
